The Brief
Moving on from the website developed in 2009, York Handmade wanted a new site, mobile-optimised and image focussed.
Displaying clear, large images of in-situ bricks shows of the products at their inspirational best.

The Approach
Following on from the design approach of the recent brochures, we adapted the vignette approach to some of the images and the darker background that made the brochure so impactful.
Thereafter it was all about gallery images as large as possible and a clear method of jumping to products within ranges.
The Results
Moving to a responsive web design has not only improved the experience to mobile visitors but also reduced mobile bounce rate by 12% and pages visited by 1.2.
Great feedback from visitors and the ability to see quality images has resulted in a very worthwhile project.
